Isaiah 42: 6-7
Pastor Sobi is an Assembly of God Minister. He Pastors a church and chidren's ministry that focuses on spreading the gospel message, providing education, food, clothing, medical and housing. Pastor Sobi and he and his wife also run Saint Thomas School where they minister to hundreds of children daily. Pastor Sobi and his family also feed starving children who live in the garbage dump.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MINISTRY?
“Our ministry continues to reach out to Hundreds of children each week through hospital care, housing, feeding food, clothing, Medical supplies, educational materials, and providing education as well as reaching their parents with gospel. Impacting the next generation for Christ.”
WHAT BREAKS YOUR HEART AND KEEPS YOU UP AT NIGHT?
“Billions of Indian people still haven't heard about the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and are living under darkness without any hope. This breaks my heart and wakes me up in the middle of the night. When I see the children begging on the street with their open hands, my heart breaks. What will they become? Some will become a prostitute, a pickpocket thief, abused by others etc.” I ask myself, how can I be blessing to them?”
HOW HAS JOY2INDIA HELPED YOUR MINISTRY?
“Joy 2 India has blessed us with spiritual gifts and physical presence of Edward Scott Kies and team in our mission field. The Children of our school were blessed with winter clothes, blankets, uniforms, and Tiffin boxes. Thousands of Street and Slum children were fed during this pandemic situation. My family is blessed by Joy 2 India by encouraging words and praying for us to continue to be more effective in His ministry, to take the Gospel to the unreached.”
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST URGENT NEEDS?
“My close friend who is always with me to help in the ministry for feeding children has become ill. He has gallbladder stones and Jaundice. Doctor advised to have operation to remove the gallbladder is $5000. So far, we have raised almost $2000. We are praying and trusting God for this money for the operation.”
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
“I am so sure God has called me for His ministry as a missionary to reach the unreached area. Now I am serving the Lord as Pastor of a Church, as well as running a small school in a village for under privileged children to standard 10 (ages 3 to 16), teaching them English Speaking courses. I started the school ministry so that the children can hear about the Gospel and take it back to their homes. During their studies, they can know more about Jesus, it is a wonderful opportunity to sow the seed of the Gospel in the young hearts and I believe one day it will give fruit in their lives.

Isaiah 42:6-7
6. “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7.to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
